Singing star Madonna is very happy after winning her battle to adopt the Malawian toddler Mercy James. Madonna is praising the country's high court for ruling in her favor.Madonna first attempted to adopt Mercy in April but was rejected on the grounds that prospective parents have to be resident in the country for 18 to 24 months. Madonna has issued a statement insisting she is "extremely grateful" to the Malawian courts and is looking forward to bringing Mercy home to the United States. She says, "I am ecstatic.
