The mother-daughter duo of Uma Krishnan and Trisha make their first appearance together in an ad for the famous Kohinoor Basmati rice.
Vijay, who has directed Trisha in Kireedom earlier, directed this ad which was shot by ace cameraman Ratnavel.
A source close to the ad agency told :“The concept was about a mother and daughter and we wanted a noted actress. So we zeroed in on Trisha and her mom Uma in Tamil along with Soha Ali Khan and her mom Sharmila Tagore in Hindi. We had tough time convincing Uma Krishnan who has refused big film offers to be a part of it, but when she read the concept she agreed”
The ad and photoshoot was done in Chennai and both Uma and Trisha dubbed in their own voice which makes the ad very realistic.
When contacted Trisha said: “ I really enjoyed doing the shoot with my mom and I think more than me talking, the concerned people should be making an official announcement and press release soon.”
