7 am arivu is the most awaited release of Surya this coming Diwali. The film as we all know sees the comeback hit jodi of Ghajini AR Murugadoss & Surya along with Harris Jayaraj. Adding factor for 7 am arivu is the leading lady of the film Shruti Hassan who makes her debut in the Tamil film industry through this movie.
The movie has created a lot of expectations not just among the fans of the stars but also a buzz in the film industry itself as the film talks about the 'Bodhidarma' a renowned person from India went to China to become a name to reckon and taught martial arts to the people there.
Surya in the film portrays the role of both Bodhidharma and that of a young guy who works in a circus, while Shruti Hassan plays the role of Shuba Srinivasan, a scientist who helps Surya by making him visit his past life there by reincarnate as Bodhidharma to the present people.
Another attraction is of course the villain Johnny Tri Nguyen, who has been the stunt choreographer in many Hollywood films including Spider man series. Apart from that, the movie also has Abhinaya, Guinnes Pakru, Ashwin Kakumanu, Dhanya Balakrishna as part of its cast.
There is no denying that Surya has worked hard on this character and the film crew is sure that he will be appreciated post the film's release. In fact Surya did not have any release since last year's hit Singham and has totally devoted his work on this particular movie and his role during which time he was not even committed to other films.
Though the film's songs have come under much of criticism, for there has not been a bang on hit track in the album, the songs could get attractive on more than few listens.
Each song has its own story of picturization. The song 'Oh Ringa Ringa' has been shot at various hot locations in the Chennai city amidst crowd and the crew raves about how the song has come out. The song has used more than 1000 dancers and is a fun song to watch ensures the film unit.
While 'Yamma Yamma' and 'Innum Enna Thozha' are pictured on the character Bodhidharma, the songs 'Mun Andhi' is a soft breezy romantic duet between Surya- Shruti and 'Yellae Lama' is a fun song captured with the two.
The audio launch was a grand event, which saw many celebrities from the tinsel town taking part and the movie is also being released in the Telugu market as 7th Sense.
Te film since its roll out has been compared to movies Christopher Nolan's Inception, Bollywood film Chandni Chowk to China and also another Hollywood film Perfume. But Murugadoss claimed that its his own script and is even proud to have made this film.
We hear that Surya trained to get a six pack abs for a Kung Fu sequence within 16 days, following cinematographer Ravi K. Chandran's request. 7 am arivu is made with the budget of 84 crores.
