Legendary actor Kamal Haasan's younger daughter Akshara Haasan will soon make her filmi debut with ace director Mani Ratnam's proposed Tamil film, an intense love story based on the sensitive issue of plight of Rameshwaram fishermen at the hands of the Sri Lankan Navy.
Notably, this untitled film also marks the debut of Tamil actor Karthik's son Gautham. As per reports, Akshara has worked as an assistant to noted film maker Rahul Dholakia (Parzania) in his latest film Society. A source revealed that Akshara's sister Shruti Haasan was instrumental in influencing her to don greasepaint.
Veteran cinematographer Rajiv Menon and music director A.R. Rahman will reportedly be a part of this project. The shooting will start from September and more details will be out soon. It sure looks like the ace director is all set to capture the magic of Roja, Mouna Raagam and Alaipayuthey again on screen.
