Hollywood star Christian Slater has reportedly broken up with his girlfriend, Tamara Mellon.The actor began dating Mellon, president of designer shoe brand Jimmy Choo, while he was acting in a stage show in London's West End theatre in 2007.Gossip reporters previously reported that Mellon, who lives in London with her daughter, Minty, was planning to move to Los Angeles California to be closer to Slater. And last month rumors circulated suggesting the couple could be on the verge of marriage. But now the couple is have allegedly called off their relationship, after struggling to maintain their long-distance relationship. A source tells Britain's Daily Mail, "We all thought Tamara and Christian were made for each other, but the pressures of their respective careers meant they were spending too much time apart.""Tamara always puts her daughter first and with two businesses -- her shoe brand Jimmy Choo and American fashion label Halston -- to run as well, it's all been too difficult. Tamara speaks very fondly of Christian and I'm sure they will stay good friends."

Hollywood actress Heather Locklear won't be part of the new "Melrose Place" , because she's not convinced writers can find a way of bringing her character Amanda Woodward back. Locklear was considered for the remake of the drama, but she has turned down an offer to join the cast. A source tells EW.com, "There wasn't a way to bring her back that made sense." The star's reps have confirmed Locklear has declined the offer to return to the role. The new show, which is will hit Television later this year, will feature new mother Ashlee Simpson and former teen icon David Cassidy's daughter Katie. Meanwhile, another former "Melrose Place" star, Lisa Rinna, is going to extremes to land a role in the beloved TV series' remake. She's even hitting the streets of Los Angeles California to drum up support. The actress recently confessed she'd do anything to appear on the sure to be hit show, and proved it on Wednesday by urging motorists to "honk" for her. Rinna, who played Taylor McBride on the original series, worked the corner of Melrose Avenue and Melrose Place with placards stating, "Honk for Lisa Rinna on the new Melrose Place."

Hollywood star Jessica Alba loves being a new mother so much that she's reportedly trying for another child with hubby Cash Warren. The happy pair welcomed daughter Honor Marie into the world last June, and Alba has taken to the role of full-time parent. She has said in the past that she wants more than one child, and sources are claiming she has put her career on hold to try and conceive once again. A source tells the National Enquirer, "Jessica and Cash are working overtime to get pregnant. She and Cash are boasting that they love being parents and are determined to expand their family as soon as possible."

Howard K. Stern has been formally charged in California with conspiring to supply drugs to Anna Nicole Smith, two years after her death from an accidental overdose of prescription medication. Stern, who was Smith's lawyer and alleged longtime partner, as well as doctors Sandeep Kapoor and Khristine Eroshevich have been charged with conspiring to provide controlled substances to the former Playboy model from July 2004 until January 2007. All three defendants have also been accused of "prescribing, administering or dispensing a controlled substance to an addict," among other charges. Kapoor, was arrested on Thursday and booked by authorities in Whittier, California. Smith died at the young age of 39 in February 2007 after overdosing on prescription medications, just months after her 20-year-old son Daniel also died of a lethal combination of drugs.

Actress Marcia Cross has been left "heart-broken" by her hubby's cancer battle, according to her mom. The Desperate Housewives stockbroker husband, Tom Mahoney, is currently receiving treatment for the illness after being diagnosed earlier this year. No other details about his condition have been released, but Cross' mother, Janet, is insisting the star and her partner are determined to beat the disease. She tells Britain's Closer magazine, "It's heart-breaking to see Tom so ill -- he's got a big battle ahead of him. It just breaks my heart that they have only just found each other fairly recently, and he might not be around to watch his kids grow up. "They are the most romantic pair too. I just hope Tom gets better, so they can have a normal life again. His chemotherapy has been so grueling and it's been tough but they're in love and doing the best they can." 
Music icon Lionel Richie attempted to distance himself from his wild daughter Nicole during her younger years, but he couldn't stop worrying about her crazy party life. "The reality show actress has admitted to dabbling in drugs when she was just a teen, and she had several brushes with the law, including a 2007 conviction for driving under the influence. Richie was scared that Nicole would do herself some damage and tried to cut ties with his daughter in a hope to give her the chance to sort her life out on her own. Richie couldn't remain away for long. He tells Britain's Metro, "I tried once (to disassociate myself from Nicole) and it does not work. I go: that's your life and you live it how you want to, I think about it every minute of the day until she gets it right, or until she gets it back on track. "It's difficult. As a kid, some things you want to keep secret from your parents. And as a parent, you want to be protective of your kids. But in this day and age of celebrity and even non-celebrity, it's hard to keep a secret from anybody." And Richie is relieved that Nicole has turned her back on her wild ways since giving birth to daughter Harlow last year, adding, "I'm sleeping better because now she's a great mom, as happy as she can be."

Hollywood star Dennis Quaid made a return to the Los Angeles California hospital where his baby twins almost died after mistakes by medics. The actor and his wife Kimberley were awarded $750,000 in damages in December, after the staff at L.A.'s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center mistakenly gave their newborns Thomas and Zoe a near-fatal amount of blood thinning drug Heparin, leaving them fighting for their lives. The children have since recovered and are in good health. California state regulators also fined the hospital for the failure of its staff to follow their own procedures. Quaid paid a return visit to Cedars-Sinai in February as part of a special for the Oprah Winfrey show to determine whether the medical facility has put any steps in place to ensure a similar mistake could not happen again. He tells the cameras, "Being here brings back a lot of memories, not all of them good." The episode will air on Tuesday.

Usher has apologized for reportedly urging Chris Brown to show "some remorse" over his alleged fight with Rihanna, accusing the press of taking his comments out of context. The star was filmed looking at recent photos of Brown frolicking on a jet ski in Florida in a video for Jermaine Dupri's "Living the Life" series. Usher was apparently upset that Brown appears to be having fun less than a month after the reported altercation with girlfriend Rihanna in Los Angeles California. He remarked, "I'm a little disappointed in this photo. After the other photo (of Rihanna's bruised face)! "C'mon, Chris. Have a little bit of remorse, man. The man's on jet skis? Like, just relaxing in Miami?" But Usher insists he didn't mean to cause any offense. A statement from the star reads, "The comments made during a recent recording session amongst friends were taken out of context and blown out of proportion. I apologize on behalf of myself and my friends if anyone was offended. The intentions were not to pass judgment and we meant no harm. I respect and wish the best for all parties involved."
Hollywood star Sienna Miller is facing an investigation over her fashion label's recent show in London, following many complaints from local residents. The star runs clothing label Twenty8Twelve with her sister, Savannah, and the company previewed its new Fall/Winter collection with a catwalk show at a converted dairy company in the city's trendy Camden. But the show, which took place last Sunday, caused outrage among local residents who found the road blocked by large vans carrying equipment, and rowdy spectators filling the streets. The complaints have been taken to the local Camden Council, meaning the actress could face an investigation and a possible fine over the fashion incident. Camden Council member Jonathan Simpson says, "It seems the developer or the owner (of the venue) is trying to make a fast buck. I hope Camden Council takes strong action against them."
